In the news this month: The incredible hummingbird migration, the upcoming Rex Allen Days in Willcox, the fabulous fruit and produce season at Apple Annie's, guest testamonials, and hiking in the Chiricahua Mountains....scroll down for all of this and more.
We had daily over 250 plus hummingbirds at our feeders during the peak of the migration the past few weeks! Experts speculate that our non-monsoon drought conditions - lack of flowers and vegetation - attracted our little friends to feeders all over the SE AZ countryside. The buzz was amazing!
Incredible numbers of our little friends!
We had Magnificent Hummingbirds this year! We loved having them grace our front porch!

No, it's not a painting! Jon took this amazing photo from our yard one early morn about a week ago. The clouds rolled over the mountains like a wave.

APPLE ANNIE'S FRUIT AND PRODUCE
The fruit and produce season continues through October. Every weekend in October is a FALL PUMPKIN CELEBRATION - Pumpkins, hayrides, and an amazing CORN MAZE! It's worth a trip for the fabulous fruit and produce season at Apple Annie's in Willcox. Please check out their website at www.appleannies.com or call them for updates about their very special events. Apple Annie's is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

HIKING IN THE CHIRICAHUA MOUNTAINS!
As a service to hikers, you can leave your car at the Chiricahua National Monument Visitor Center and ride the Forest Service bus shuttle (at 8:30 a.m. only) to the Wonderland of Rocks for your hike down the mountain.

Do you see the head of Cochise at the top of the Chiricahua Mountains Wonderland of Rocks?

GUEST TESTAMONIALS....
I love this place, ya'll...."Deer, come look at our new hangout!"
Just kidding.... here are some real ones:
From New Zealand: "To sit on your porch and watch the hummingbirs feed was truly a magical experience (and worth every air mile and road mile we traveled!) Your vision for Dos Cabezas is inspired.
From India: "It is a blessed opportunity for me to be here....and to spend a few days with you! I am so thankful!"
From South Carolina: "We have spent the last 6 days of our trip (snce we were there) discussing how much we liked Dos Cabezas! Yours was definitely the best place we stayed on our entire trip for a number of reasons: the lodging was very comfortable and private, the breakfast you made us was superb (best we've ever had at a B and B or most anywhere for that matter), the history of Dos Cabezas was extremely interesting, the wildlife at your retreat was unbelievable (particularly the hummers!), and you were excellent hosts."
From Germany: It's written in German, but they told us they loved it!
