COVID-19 SERVICE CHANGES AS OF JULY 6, 2020
Reservations: Unless you are a party of four traveling together, only one room will be reserved at a time. Rooms will be aired out for 24 hours before we enter to clean and sanitize facilities between guests. There will be no booking of one-night stays, those will be referred to local motels.
Check-in: Wearing masks, we will greet you from a distance refraining from handshakes and hugs upon arrival. You will be directed to your room and given parking instructions. Written information about your stay will be in your room. This will include information about local area attractions. If you have questions, please call/text us at 520-507-1244. If you do not have cell service, please come to the office of the Main House.
Meals: All meals will be plated and served by us on the veranda of the main house. During cooler seasons, we will serve in the Arizona Room. There will be no communal dining with staff or other guests in the main house, Casita or Music Dining Room.
- A full Breakfast will be served by staff on the veranda of the Main House at 8:00 am. If you or prefer a different time, a Continental Breakfast to be left at your room door between 7a-9am. You must complete the order form and leave on your room’s screen door by 8:00pm the evening before. All dirty dishes and any trash must be placed outside your room’s door by 10:00 am daily.
- Optional Lunch/Dinner: With a 48-hour prior reservation, you may order a box lunch at $18/person or box dinner at $34.50/person or with a glass of local Willcox wine $46/person. You may provide your own beverage as an option. We strongly encourage you to support the Willcox restaurants and stores. A list of the restaurants open for limited seating and “take out service” will be in the Community Room.
Wine social: We have suspended our usual complimentary wine social. A list of the local wineries will be available in the Community Room.
Housekeeping: Daily by 10am, we will be pick up your dirty dishes and tray and trash outside your room door. For sanitary reasons, please keep all trash in the trash liner and basket. If you are staying more than 3 days, we will exchange your used towels with clean on the 3rd day. Please place them outside the door of your room. We will not enter your room during your stay unless it is an emergency or to make repairs.
Communal amenities - Please read carefully: As recommended by Dr. Christ, Arizona Director of Health and Human Services and to follow recommended CDC guidelines, much of the decor which gives our rooms their historic and homey comfort have been removed from the rooms. This includes bed spreads, draperies, area rugs, books, rack cards of local attractions, DVDs, books and magazines, coffee and teas, snacks, glasses and dishware. Additionally, we will provide individually wrapped soaps, shampoo, tissues and toilet paper for sanitary reasons. If you do not use them, please throw them away in the trash. There will be no hair dryers in the room. These measures are in order to minimize the spread through individual touch and because of the inability to sanitize some items. Please ask if you need replacements. Some items are available upon request. If you forgot something, please ask. If we don't have it, we will provide options. Please refer to your information packet with your check-in instructions in the Community Room.
Casita and Music Rooms will be locked. The communal refrigerator, microwave, tea and coffee pots will not be available for use. We encourage you to bring your own ice chest to keep your beverages and snacks cool. Ice can be purchased in Willcox at Safeway or MacDonald’s. Preparing your own meals and snack. We encourage you support the Willcox Restaurants and stores. If you prefer to eat your meals in the guesthouse, we have complimentary paper plates and plastic utensils available for guest use in the Main House office. If you wish to use our glassware and dishes. You will be charged a $10 fee for dish washing. Do not wash dishes your room sinks. There is risk of breaking our porcelain sinks, clogging the drains or inviting pests.
GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Sanitation Stations: Hand Sanitizers and cleaning cloths will be located in the Community Room and on the veranda of the Main House. This is for our guest use. Do not remove them. Your individually wrapped toilet paper and hand soaps may be taken with you upon check out. If you choose not to take them, please put in the trash.
Wash hands often. We have increased our hand-washing schedule. We encourage our guests to continue to do so, as well and in accordance with CDC guidelines posted in your room.
Masks: Bring your masks. We will wear masks when interacting with guests, meal preparation and service. We ask that our guests bring and wear masks as recommended by the CDC. Many area stores will require masks.
Social Distance: Social distancing will remain in effect for all common areas, including outside seating areas including the Main House veranda and garden area. We request that guests take a break from shaking hands and hugging staff.
Cleaning & Sanitizing Common Areas and Rooms: We have increased regular deep cleaning and disinfection schedules of all spaces within the common areas, including railings, door handles, light switches, etc.
Illness and Monitoring Symptoms: All guests and staff will be monitored for signs of symptoms. We encourage guests to stay home if you feel unwell or believe you may have been in any of the areas where you could possibly have been exposed to the Coronavirus. Should a guest arrive ill, you will be sent away and fully charged for the reservation.
Cancellation period is 24-hours prior to your arrival due to illness. Otherwise our cancellation period will remain in force as stated on our website and in your confirmation. Should we be mandated to stay at home or feel the need to close, we will advise you.
